Cultural Consciousness Ballet Edition

Ballet: a type of dancing where carefully organized movements tell a story or express an idea.

Cultural Consciousness Ballet Edition is held on World Ballet Day, to achieve more awareness about ballet, its benefits, world’s leading dance companies and artists and the part of ballet you don’t see when you go to a ballet – what ballet really is.

World Ballet Day returns for its tenth year and is an initiative of The Australian Ballet, Royal Ballet and San Francisco Ballet to give you an insider’s view into dance companies around the globe: classes, rehearsals, sneak peeks of upcoming performances and ballet’s biggest stars at work.

Cultural Consciousness Ballet Edition consists of 2 main parts:
*During the first part, the focus is on ballet outside of Suriname with streamed ballet activities from 9 countries in Asia, Europe and North America.
*During the second part, the focus is on ballet within Suriname by local ballet companies Charlotte Sprangers Balletschool, DanceWorks and GnCCreative Dance.

The event is for all as of 3 years old, starts at 09:00 and ends at 19:30. You can come and go as you please, all day long on the same ticket. Tickets are SRD 300,-, when visited as school trip SRD 200,- and available per registration at https://forms.gle/MVVXS9BqaPzWUkrL7
